1/1/2021 0 Comments Month 12: The Engagement PartyWhat’s the point of Engagement Party? I already told everyone and posted on social media. Engagement parties are a chance for those closest to you to celebrate your engagement share how happy, and for you to share your happiness with them. It can be at your home, virtual, or a happy hour.
COVID-19 has made the virtual engagement party a great option. As well as being affordable, it’s a pretty cool to begin with when you think about it since social media platforms now have group video capability. Are invitations necessary? It would depend on what kind of Engagement Party you were planning, but most would be great with something like RSVPify (free events) or sending an electronic invitation (a text photo). In-home or virtual, both are very cost-effective. They’re are about starting an exciting new chapter in both your lives. Your families will now know you as both of their children (if they don’t already see it that way), so it’s a big deal. This is something to celebrate. Really want to keep cost low with an at home? Make it B.Y.O.B. or a cocktail hour with cheese and crackers! No decorations needed. Maybe a We’re Engaged sign or balloon? The Engagement Ring is probably enough ;)
